Stainless Steel 347 Pipes consist of about 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and niobium (at least ten times the carbon content) to enhance the alloy’s stability. The carbon content is kept to around 0.08%. In terms of mechanical properties, these pipes boast a tensile strength ranging from 515–690 MPa and a yield strength of about 205 MPa, along with impressive ductility and toughness. The alloy effectively resists intergranular corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking, even after welding or exposure to high temperatures. Additionally, 347 maintains good creep strength, making it ideal for long-term use in environments exceeding 800 °F (427 °C).
