Rithav Pipes and Tubes, based in Delhi, India, stands out as a top manufacturer and supplier of high-quality Stainless Steel 348H Tubing, designed specifically for high-temperature and corrosive environments. This type of stainless steel is a stabilized austenitic alloy that includes niobium (or columbium) to boost its resistance to intergranular corrosion, particularly after welding and extended exposure to high heat. The “H” grade, with its higher carbon content compared to standard 348, offers enhanced creep strength and thermal stability. Rithav provides both seamless and welded 348H tubing, adhering to ASTM A213, ASTM A269, and various international standards, making it ideal for refineries, chemical plants, and power generation systems.
Stainless Steel 348H Tubing is mainly made up of 17–19% chromium and 9–13% nickel, along with columbium/tantalum for stabilization and a higher carbon content (around 0.04–0.10%) to perform well at elevated temperatures. Its mechanical properties boast a tensile strength of at least 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa or more, and an elongation of about 35%. This alloy excels in oxidation resistance, creep strength, and weldability, performing well in environments reaching up to 1100°C (2012°F). It retains its structural integrity even under cyclic heating, making it perfect for pressure tubing and superheater applications.

Stainless Steel 348H Tubing finds its place in high-temperature, high-pressure systems like heat exchangers, superheaters, reheaters, pressure vessels, and boiler tubing in power generation plants. Its remarkable resistance to thermal fatigue makes it a go-to choice for both nuclear and fossil fuel power facilities, as well as in the refining and petrochemical sectors where tubes face tough conditions. The stabilized chemistry effectively prevents intergranular corrosion post-welding, making it an excellent option for furnace components, chemical process piping, and air preheaters.
