Typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 390–460 MPa, a yield strength of around 275 MPa, and an elongation of 10–15%, depending on the temper. Being a heat-treatable alloy, it’s perfect for applications where structural performance is crucial. While it has moderate corrosion resistance, it shines when anodized or coated. The tubing maintains its dimensional stability and strength under cyclic loads, making it ideal for environments prone to fatigue.
