Duplex Steel Pipes are constructed from austenitic-ferritic stainless steel grades, typically featuring 22-25% chromium, 4-7% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and small amounts of nitrogen. This unique blend offers outstanding resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and crevice corrosion. Duplex steel is known for its impressive mechanical properties, with a minimum tensile strength of 620 MPa, a yield strength of at least 450 MPa, and a minimum elongation of 25%. The balanced microstructure provides double the strength of standard austenitic stainless steel while ensuring good weldability and toughness, even in freezing temperatures, making it perfect for critical applications.
