ST 35 / ST 35.8 Tubes are constructed from low-carbon steel, with a chemical makeup that includes approximately carbon (≤ 0.17%), manganese (≤ 0.40–0.70%), phosphorus (≤ 0.035%), and sulfur (≤ 0.035%). The ST 35.8 variant is slightly modified to offer better temperature resistance and pressure tolerance. In terms of mechanical properties, these tubes boast a tensile strength of 480–640 MPa, a yield strength of at least 235 MPa, and an elongation of 25% or more. They provide excellent toughness, formability, and weldability, and can be utilized in annealed, normalized, or stress-relieved conditions based on the specific application.
