Stainless Steel 309 Tubing is made up of 22–24% chromium, 12–15% nickel, with iron as the primary component, along with small amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon (around 0.20%). This austenitic stainless steel grade boasts excellent oxidation resistance up to 1050°C, along with good strength and ductility. It features a tensile strength of at least 550 MPa, a yield strength of at least 205 MPa, and an elongation of 40%, with Brinell hardness reaching up to 220 HB. These characteristics make 309 tubing ideal for thermal cycling and maintaining structural stability in extreme service conditions.
