Stainless Steel 310 and 310S Heat Exchanger Tubing consists of iron in majority, with 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel, which offer superior resistance to corrosion and oxidation. The tubing provides tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and good elongation, thus being strong but formable. The 310S version contains less carbon, which enhances weldability and resistance to sensitization under high-temperature service. Famous for its thermal cycling stability, this tubing is suited for long service life under high-heat conditions without degrading the mechanical integrity.
