Stainless Steel 310 and 310S Instrumentation Tubing is composed mainly of iron with 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel and provides enhanced resistance to oxidation and heat-induced degradation. 310S contains less carbon and therefore provides better weldability and minimized carbide precipitation during long-term high-temperature exposure. Mechanical properties are a yield strength of around 205 MPa, tensile strength of around 510 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. These characteristics offer the tubing superior durability, scalability resistance, low thermal expansion, and prolonged service life in harsh environments.
