Stainless Steel 316/316L Heat Exchanger Tubing contains iron, 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, making it highly resistant to corrosion, especially where environments are chloride-rich. The 316L grade contains low carbon, which improves weldability and minimizes the possibility of precipitation of carbides. The tubes possess excellent tensile strength of up to 580 MPa, coupled with good formability and ductility under stress. The main benefits are resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, high-temperature workability, and long-term stability of structure, making them perfect for severe, corrosive, and thermally stressful applications.
