Stainless Steel 317/317L Instrumentation Tubing contains austenitic stainless steel alloys with 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum. The carbon content of the 317L grade is low, thus offering resistance to intergranular corrosion while improving weldability. Mechanical properties comprise tensile strength of up to 85 ksi (586 MPa), superior ductility, and good formability.
