Stainless Steel 317/317L Welded Tubing is an austenitic stainless steel alloy containing 18–20% chromium, 13–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum, which provides excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and acidic environments. The 317L type contains less carbon content, with improved weldability and intergranular corrosion resistance. The alloy offers tensile strength of 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa, with high formability, durability, and resistance to high temperatures. The alloy is best suited for high-performance applications in environments with corrosive and chloride-rich environments.
