321 and 321H EFW Pipes are generally made up of 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and titanium as a stabilizing agent. The prime difference is the greater percentage of carbon present in 321H (0.04–0.10%), which offers higher strength in higher temperatures. These pipes show very good tensile strength (~515 MPa) and yield strength (~205 MPa) and high resistance to oxidation, stress corrosion cracking, and intergranular corrosion. Their better weldability, mechanical stability, and thermal resistance make them ideal for high-temperature and high-pressure applications.
