Stainless Steel 347/347H ERW Pipes are produced from austenitic stainless steel alloys consisting mostly of iron, 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and columbium (niobium)—added in amounts 10 to 15 times the amount of carbon to facilitate stabilization. Type 347H has increased carbon content to offer better high-temperature strength. Pipes have superior resistance to intergranular corrosion, particularly after being exposed to high temperatures. They have high tensile strength, good ductility, and welding stability as their mechanical properties, which qualify them for extreme applications demanding structural integrity and resistance to oxidation when subjected to thermal stress.
