Stainless Steel 347/347H Instrumentation Tubing is produced using an austenitic alloy with about 18% chromium, 10% nickel, and niobium (columbium) to stabilize against intergranular corrosion. The 347H version has higher carbon levels to give it added strength at higher temperature. These tubes have a tensile strength of 75,000 psi (517 MPa) and yield strength of 30,000 psi (207 MPa). They are highly resistant to oxidation, weldable, and have excellent thermal stability, which makes them suitable for corrosive and elevated temperature applications. They have a smooth bore internal surface, which provides precise and dependable performance in instrumentation and control instrumentation systems.
