Stainless Steel 347/347H Seamless Tubing consists mostly of iron, with 17–19% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and 0.5–1% niobium as a stabilizing additive to improve resistance to intergranular corrosion. The 347H variant contains a higher carbon content, which enhances the high-temperature strength. These tubes have very good mechanical properties, such as a tensile strength of ~515 MPa and a yield strength of ~205 MPa, with good ductility and oxidation resistance. Their better weldability, thermal stability, and resistance to stress-corrosion cracking are advantages that make them a safe option for demanding high-temperature applications.
