Titanium Instrumentation Tubing is generally fabricated using commercially pure titanium (Grades 1–4) or a titanium alloy such as Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), which contains 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. These tubes have good mechanical characteristics and tensile strength of 344 MPa to 895 MPa, yield strength of 275 MPa to 828 MPa, and elongation of 15% to 30%. High strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and dimensional stability of titanium make this tubing the best choice for high-precision instrumentation systems used in harsh or high-temperature environments.
